MARTIN COMPSTON is completing principal photography on SOULED OUT - a Northern Soul celebration with a projected soundtrack now announced to feature Paul Weller and Duffy - Then Martin moves straight on to a new thriller, THE BEACH BOYS, filming in Northern Ireland until the end of October for Generator Entertainment, the makers of his last American film FREAKDOG which was premiered at the FilmFour FrightFest in London last month ~ GORDON BROWN has wrapped his co-starring role with Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale) in the Viking extravaganza VALHALLA RISING ~ NEIL LEIPER, has wrapped the indie feature WASTED (Raindog Films) with David Hayman, Gary Lewis, ALISON PEEBLES and KATE DICKIE in supporting roles ~ KATE DICKIE is one of the stars of SOMERS TOWN,  which is on UK general release after winning the Best British Film at The Edinburgh International Film Festival. She is also co-starring with MATTHEW WORKMAN in SUMMER (dir Kenny Glenaan/ release date tbc) for which Robert Carlyle was awarded Best Actor at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. HUNWICK HUGHES LTD has been nominated for the Arts & Business Scotland Small Business Award 2008 in recognition of our sponsorship of the Royal National Theatre Connections Summer showcase in Scotland in 2007, involving performances by eight youth theatre groups from Scotland, Ireland and Norway at the Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh. We were also commended for supporting "opportunities for 1400 young people to participate in the Lyceum's Education programme and extend membership of the successful Lyceum Youth Theatre". The A & B Scotland Awards are being hosted at the Music Hall, Aberdeen on the 21st October.
