Shooting stars: KATHLEEN MCDERMOTT is filming a guest lead role in CASUALTY throughout December ~ Kathleen and ANTHONY BOWERS have been filming HAPPY HALLIDAYS (the pilot for a new sitcom set in a tourist office, co-starring Ford Kiernan and Karen Dunbar) ~  BRYAN LARKIN has just wrapped the lead role in TOWNSVILLE; also starring JOHN PAUL HURLEY, this is a hi-tech TV police adventure story for BBC2 Scotland ~ NICK FARR is in the new sitcom THE OLD GUYS, filming at the beginning of the month ~ EILEEN MCCALLUM and GORDON MCCORKELL continue filming as regular characters Liz and Deke, recently joined by GREG POWRIE as the long lost young Malcolm, JOHN YULE as butch hairdresser Gerard, JOHN P ARNOLD as American smoothie Ben and JAMES WATSON as bee farming romantic interest Alain, in the revamped RIVER CITY (BBC Scotland), which completes this years block of filming on 12th Dec ~

Film Festivities

KATE DICKIE co-stars with MATTHEW WORKMAN in SUMMER (release date 5th Dec). The film is directed by Kenny Glennan and Robert Carlyle plays the lead role (Kate is his Mum and Matthew his younger self) for which Robert Carlyle was awarded Best Actor accolade at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, 2008 ~

 

 

Unwrapped: BRYAN LARKIN has written, produced and stars in RUNNING IN TRAFFIC (www.runningintraffic.com) starring Kenneth Cranham and ANNE DOWNIE, release date to be confirmed but check the website for the background on this brilliant micro-budget feature with a macro-heart ~ HOPE ROSS is filming the intriguing THE ELEMENTAL until 20th ~

 

On general release: Watch out for BRYAN LOWE, DANIELLE STEWART and JULIET CADZOW in supporting roles in the adventure comedy STONE OF DESTINY ~ KATE DICKIE is out there in SOMERS TOWN, Shane Meadows award winning feature (EIFF Best British Film 2008) ~  MARTIN COMPSTON has THE DAMNED UNITED (also featuring STEWART ROBERTSON), FREAKDOG and just wrapped SOULED OUT all awaiting release ~ And with KATE DICKIE and co-starring James Cosmo, Martin has ROUNDING UP DONKEYS, the companion film to their 2006 international hit RED ROAD,  coming up in the Spring of 2009 ~
